Insomnia-Help!

Though i've never gone to the doctor about this problem, I think it is a problem. Its the fact that I can never get to sleep at night at a good time. Really it doesn't matter much cause i'm currently not working or going to school but I really don't think its healthy. It seems I'm awake way more then I am asleep and I know sleep is a very important thing.

Maybe its just the fact that i'm always on this damned thing we call the computer. Don't get me wrong I love computers and the internet but I think it really is connected to my sleeping problem. but then again that isn't really fair to say because I have self control, or i should, and I should be able to say "No!" to the computer asking me to search for useless junk.

Just to let you know how bad my sleeping habits have gotten, yesterday I went to bed at 3 and woke up at 8, thats only 5 hours of sleep! i've seen things online and in magazines saying that sleeping in small amounts is actually a more efficient way to rest your body. I forgot the actual number of days we waste in our lifes sleeping but it was around a few years of our lifes we sleep, which baffles me! Maybe i'm doing it right without knowing or something, I mean I am a strong believer in just enjoying every minute of life even if your bored out of your mind. Well this post was gonna ask for you readers *snickers* to tell me ways they get to sleep but I dont think I wanna sleep more.

So how about this question: do you think you could get used to sleeping for 4 hours a night? So if you look over this blog answer please! Be a contributer not a lurker and I really appreciate any comment I get. Okay I'm gonna go and not sleep for awhile!

Nujabes-Counting Stars

Nujabes has to be one of my favorite artist, for many different reasons. One is because all his songs are instrumentals, because of that his songs have a totally different layer of artisticness to them. Sure vocal less music isn't a new thing but Nujabes just does it better then others and music without words isnt very common among people.

Songs without words don't need to tell you what their about. They don't need to tell you to get up and dance or sit back in chill. And because of their ability to subliminally evoke emotions they are ten times as powerful as a normal song. So enough about me rambling about how more music should have less words.....what? I didnt start? well I wont I'll save that for another day.

So I figured I'd bring this blog back, which basically has a reader count of....one, one being me. Also i'm renaming and redesigning, or maybe I should say designing cause a default blogger template doesn't really count as a design. The new name will be A2Rs cause abbreviations are cool.....well to me they are. I'll try to get into more of a groove for this and actually update a least once a day and maybe more. This post right now will probally be the post for today cause its getting late and I don't know of anything to post about today, well maybe i'll post the cool new banner that i'll be making before I pass out. So expect that....or not cause my reader count will remain 1 for quite awhile I guess.

Assassins Creed looks like a great game and we need more Trip-Hop music in Video games. Assassins is said to be released some time November. Hopefully the whole soundtrack will be Trip-Hop goodness.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

I've haven't gotten any further since the last what i've been playing this week. I think I completed 3 more missions but not much of a advancement considering theres three hundred missions in this game. I did get a few of my weapons to hitman from the gang territory thing. I'll never complete this game!

Zelda: Twilight Princess

I pulled out the cube again and decided to finish Twilight Princess again. Didn't get to far because theres only one controller in the house....Don't ask cause It would be hard to tell you why. My little sister came and wanted the controller and I couldn't say no cause I'm nice. I'll probably get bored of this game, Its a great game don't get me wrong, and not finish it.

So thats all I've done this week in games really. Spend most of my time online talking and looking at video games I don't have.....Man I need a 360.

Rant #1: Good Hip Hop

    My first rant is called Good Hip Hop because there is a such thing as bad Hip Hop. Any kind of "Hip Hop" that talks about nothing but bitches, money, cars, jewelry, and clothes is not Good Hip Hop and thats a fact.

   Hip Hop has never and never will be about material things. Hip Hop, and any music, Should be about sending a message or telling about your struggles or problems. I'm talking about real problems. Not the "problems" of being a teen cause most of these so called problems aren't even that big. Your girlfriend breaking up with you is not a real problem because you'll live after it. Your parents not giving you money is not a real problem. This isn't really made a topic much in Hip Hop but I'm sure it pops up in a lot of mainstream Rock but I don't know enough to rant about that.

   Listening to music where the artist, well not artist cause theres nothing arty about what they do, calls girls bitches and wants to do nothing more then have sex and smoke weed is not good music. People use the argument that they don't agree with what the rapper is rapping about, but even then why listen to something that doesn't align with your views. Wouldn't it be better to listen to something you can agree and relate to. To those that do agree with the views of many rappers please change those views because its no way to live life. Life is about so many other things then just partying and why waste half your life on something that doesn't produce anything to anyone.

   I'm straying away from what I think Good and Bad Hip Hop is but I think people need to realize life is about so much more then having sex and drinking. The most horrible part of wanting or trying to make people realize this is they don't care. They're to stubborn to want to change what kind of music they listen to or how they live life, and when they do realize it its to late. They've already wasted half their life's doing meaningless things.

   I think I'm gonna end this rant right here because I was straying away from my point of good and bad hip hop, and when I'm in a ranty mood I need to calm down to do it again. The one thing I want anyone reading this to get out of it is That life is about so much more.

Rave #2: Knytt

Knytt

   This weeks.....well not week, this rave is about a great free independent game I discovered called Knytt. I discovered this game from the video game blog site Joystiq.

   Knytt is a very simple but great platformer. You play as a kid, I think named Knytt not sure, who is abducted by a alien when wondering around. When traveling though space the aliens UFO is struck by a asteroid and the alien and Knytt plummet to a nearby planet. Knytt and the Alien survive but the UFO isn't in too good of shape. It is up to you to explore the huge planet to find the items you need to repair the UFO and travel home.

   Like said before Knytt is a very simple platformer with a lot of charm. The background and music are both great. When exploring you'll always be anxious to see the next environment and hear the next song. There are very few hazards except for water, lava, and sharp crystals. You'll encounter very few enemies which makes this game pretty easy. Also to add to the games easiness you have unlimited lives and checkpoints. Despite these game being easy its still a very relaxing and great game that everyone should play for a little fun.

   When you play and enjoy this game, which I'm sure you will, check out a game called Within a Deep Forest which is made by the same people who made Knytt. Also they are working on yet another game, said to be released on Aug. 30th, which is also free. Within a Deep Forest,Knytt and their new game can all be found in the link below.

What I've been playing this week #2

   This week havent been playing many games but tons of Pokemon. Say whatever you want pokemon isn't that bad!

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (9.6)

   So I'll start with the game I've been playing other then Pokemon. San Andreas is getting kinda blah to me. This is probably because I've played it before, never beat it, and deleted my save like an idiot. Now I have to do all the very annoying missions over again! I find myself most the time when playing this game doing crazy stunts with cars or jumping off of high places on a bike or doing what everyone loves to do, shoot people. I'll probably never finish this game if I dont stop messing around.

Pokemon:Emerald (7.5)
  nbsp;For some odd reason one day I suddenly got the urge to play a Pokemon game, weird huh? Anyway I started playing Pokemon Emerald, which I hadn't played before. I had Ruby and put it down cause I got bored of it, but for some odd reason I'm not getting bored of this Pokemon game. Not that Emerald is that much different from Ruby or Sapphire, but its actually fun. I'm at the 6th gym and my starting Pokemon, Mudkip which evolved into something I cant remember, is about to evolve again. Next what I've been playing I'll probably finish this game.

So thats what i've been playing this week not much but thats probably because theres no new games coming out for the ps2 when I pick up God of War 2, maybe Odin Sphere and finish Breath of Fire I'm gonna need a new system!

Super Smashing News!

   Hey....I thought of yet another feature called Super Smashing News where I relay information about the upcoming game Super Smash Bros. Brawl and my views on the new content. Me and my 2 younger brothers used to play the first two Super Smash Bros. like crazy so thats why I'm excited about this new one. I wouldn't consider myself a expert but I'm pretty good. Well anyways on to the Super Smashing News!

New Items!
   Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be adding to the already great item list as shown by the two new items already announced:

Gooey Bomb

   The Gooey Bomb is exactly what it sounds like, a bomb that when thrown sticks to its target. Though theres a twist to this already sinister item. You can pass on the Gooey Bomb by running into another opponent, making for a quick game of hot potato. Also it sticks to the ground like a normal prox. mine. My brothers and me used to always enjoy playing with prox. mines on Golden Eye and Super Smash Bros. Melee now this item takes that fun to another level!

Cracker Launcher

   The Cracker launcher brings the very cliche Rocket launcher away from the cliche. This rocket launcher shoots out Fire crackers! Now you can blast away your opponents while watching the pretty colors. Also because of the new feature that lets you move around and shoot Projectile weapons at the same time this weapon will be a beast using. When playing a game of SSBM my brothers and me usually just turned off the Super Scope because it didn't do that much damage unless you charged it up and you had to stand still, The Cracker Launcher cures both of these problems

    So thats my new feature I won't be updating everyday on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl news, like the official site is doing, but i'll update when theres something really important. So check back later for more of my relayed Smash Bros. Brawl news. Also heres a link to the

Hey I was talking about new features and this is one. I'll Rave about something I think is good or someone I know said was good. Just cause someone else said the thing was good doesn't mean I won't actually check it out though. So heres my first rave:

Tom's Got Shingles

I'm not a big rock fan but I'll listen to some rock every once in awhile. I especially like it when small bands do covers of famous songs, and thats exactly what the band Tom's Got Shingles does. My friend Jessica(I know your reading this :D) told me about them and said that "Their awesome live and they have great energy and crowd connection." Heres their bio from myspace by Mike a member of the band:

"Tom's Got Shingles is a Colorado Springs based alternative and rock cover band. We started playing around town in Dec '06 and have been going strong ever since. Why "Tom's Got Shingles"? Well, our keyboardist Tom...got shingles. The guys showed up for practice one day and asked, "Where's Tom?" to which I replied: "Tom's Got Shingles!" The rest is music history! Tom lives up in Denver now with his new bride. Occasionally he'll come down for a show and rock with us! When are you coming down next Tom??? "

So thats a little about Tom's Got Shingles. And just cause they do a lot of covers that doesn't mean that they don't do original songs. "We're working on a couple....and we have one already." says Mark another member of Tom's Got Shingles. Hey another feature I just thought of, What You Should Be Listening To. This feature is music I listen to that I think you should listen to other then 50 cent or Jim Jones or Fallout Boy. Take my advice or not but I guarantee that if you do you'll be way happier by listening to some stuff with actual meaning.

This Album includes El-P, Mr. Lif and a new favorite of mine Cage. Cage is being called a emo rapper but "Blood Boy" is a great tale of a boy that hasn't stopped bleeding since birth. Also a great remix to the already great song "Brothaz" by Mr. Lif is included now featuring Cannibal Ox. This album is defiantly a great start in underground hip hop in my opinion, so pick it up cause its free!!! What I've been playing this week #1

   Hey this is the start of something I'd like to keep up on, What i've been playing this week!

   This week I've been playing a bunch of games on and off. These games being Wild Arms 3, Dark Cloud 2, Disgaea 2 and Ultimate Spiderman, Not really a bunch but w/e!

Wild Arms 3(7.5)

    This game is okay but after playing something like FF XII its hard to go back to a tradition rpg. The Wild Arms series always tried to make the random battle less repetitive by allowing you to push a button to avoid them but you can only do this a certain amount of times before the game forces you to battle. This is good so you keep your level up but bad because random battles are plan annoying after awhile. I find myself picking up this game and playing it really to just find out whats gonna happen next.

Dark Cloud 2(9.0)

   This game was awesome, and I say was cause I finally finished it! I bought the game when it first came out go to the very end lost the game and never finished it. Now I'm happy to say I finished it and the ending was a little blah. I wont spoil it for anyone that hasn't played it yet but not what I was expecting from the ending. Also the game was great but near the end I hate to force myself to finish it, probably because the difficulty ramped up probably because I didn't do to well finding the items to increase my health.

Disgaea 2(8.2)

   Bought this game a few months ago and stopped playing because its hard! I played many other games from Nippon Ichi such as Makai Kingdom and the first Disgaea but this ones 10X harder then those. Its hard mainly because the single maps throw almost puzzle like battles your way. One requires you to manipulate the geo, which most story maps don't make you do. Also in case you didn't know manipulating the geo is hard...at least to me. I'll finish this game eventually.

Ultimate Spiderman(7.1)

    This is a game I bought because I love Spiderman. I had actually finished it before and started it again....just because. Probably because I read that the Spiderman 3 game wasn't good and wanted to get my Spiderman on if you will. Very short game I finished it in one day, I think I finished it in 2 weeks the first time through probably because I had school.

Hey...... This is Andrew or Andy or An-D whichever is cool to call me. Anyway this is my second attempt at a public blob site the first being very short lived because of my lazy ass. I was running it with my ex girlfriend Jessica, who will probably be my only reader of this but w/e.

So this blog is gonna be about everything and anything probably mostly video games cause I love them. This is the intro so not much on info but I'll make one right after this with what i've been playing might even make it a feature of something......w/e I'll figure it out. Anyways enjoy and I hope I keep in there even if I dont have any readers.
